Sleepwalker is an evening-length dance production created by Tarek Assam and Paul Julius for Tanzcompagnie Gießen in 2013. Inspired by the phenomenon of sleepwalking, the work explores the blurred boundaries between waking and dreaming, memory and reality, fear and desire.

Sleepwalker inspired an artistic photographic project by Frank Sygusch, whose images captured the atmosphere and physical language of the production. The photographs were presented in a dedicated exhibition and published in a 44-page illustrated hardcover book devoted to the work.
